Dr. Cody Sessions first arrived in Pucallpa in 2019. However, Dr. Session is not your average Orthopaedic Surgeon. By day he mends broken bones and by night he trains and loves to do extreme sports. In 2018 Dr. Sessions was featured in NBC’s American Ninja Warrior. Growing up he snowboarded competitively and loves the great outdoors. His road to the medical field wasn’t so straightforward. For a while, Dr. Sessions considered becoming a personal trainer.
In the end, God’s calling to medicine was greater and His sovereignty placed him right before our President, Dr. Peter Cole, in HealthPartners Region Hospital in Minnesota. After Dr. Sessions’ first trip to Peru, he was hooked. He came back in 2020 for a second year. Dr. Session remains intimately involved with the organization participating in book discussions and virtual case studies with Peruvian surgeons.
