This beautiful 5-acre campus will become home to the first Orthotics & Prosthetics and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (O&OR) facility in the Peruvian Amazon jungle. It will also include a home for Scalpel staff, a conference center for education and administrative offices, a chapel, and a guest house for visitors.
Numerous leaders in Pucallpa have expressed to us the need and desire for these orthopaedic and rehabilitative services, wanting something different for their beloved community from the overrun, dys- functional and dilapidated government run facilities. With the partnership of local experts and industry leaders in the United States, Scalpel is in a unique position to change the tide and make a long-term impact in the Peruvian Amazon.
